Abstract
|
|
|
Congenital absence of the pulmonary artery was uncommon.
The absence of the right pulmonary artery appeared as an isolated defect, but the absence of the left pulmonary artery was associated with several major abnormalities of the heart and great vessels.
The patient was a 7 year old male who was admitted repeated respiratory infection and dyspnea on exercise.
The anomaly was suggested by the films of the chest and lung scan and confirmed by the angiocardiography that was seen non-filling of the right pulmonary artery.
